2019年6月10日,榆林學院校友、首都師範大學教授蘇家寶應邀做了《Quasilinear elliptic equations with singular potentials and bounded discontinuous nonlinearities》的學術報告。蘇加寶教授的報告深入淺出,重在交流做文章和做學問的觀點和經驗,並結合自身的親身實例加以闡述。最後蘇教授圍繞學生考研與學生進行了交流和互動,並耐心解答師生們提出的問題。
2019年6月11日,蘇教授做了題為《Solutions for p-Laplacian equations via Morse theory》的報告,報告結束後與參與老師進行了座談,蘇教授結合自身取得學術成果的經驗和學術理念,就關於如何獲得良好的學術成果和教師的自身提高進行了探討和交流。本次報告增進了大家對p--拉普拉斯方程求解的理解,拓展了想法,也為老師在教學成果凝練和科學研究方向的確立提出了建議,參與討論的老師受益匪淺。
2019年5月31日,到訪太原理工大學數學學院,作了題為:“Nontrivial solutions for p-Laplacian equations via Morse theory”的學術報告。介紹了採用Morse理論研究帶“凹型”擾動項的p-Laplacian方程僅在次臨界全局假設下解的存在性和多重性,向參加報告的師生分享了做科研的體會。

蘇加寶教授及其課題組發表學術論文40多篇,研究內容涉及無窮維Morse 理論的套用、臨界群計算、半線性橢圓共振問題、超線性橢圓問題的多解性、Hamilton系統周期解、擬線性橢圓方程(P-Laplace)、Henon方程基態解的非對稱性、非線性薛定鄂方程、Sobolev型嵌入定理等方面,研究成果在包括Advances in Mathematics、Journal of Differential Equations、Calculus Variations and Partial Differential Equations等在內的20種國際學術期刊上發表,大部分是SCI期刊論文,得到國際同行的關注和大量引用,已被30多個國家和地區的近200名數學家發表在近100種學術期刊、8本專著和預印本引用近400次,其中被Annales Institut H. Poincare Analyse NonLineaire、Memoirs of AMS、J.Funct.Anal.等在內的70多種SCI、SCIE期刊引用300多次,被國內外30多篇博士學位論文引用。

給出了保證全空間上的漸近線性薛定鄂方程緊性的分析條件,並套用於多解和變號解的研究。與王志強、Willem(比利時皇家科學院院士)合作研究了帶有奇異位勢的半線性薛定鄂方程基態解及解的衰減性質;建立了帶權函式空間的Sobolev型嵌入定理,為用臨界點理論和變分方法研究奇異或退化的擬線性橢圓型方程及方程組建立了基本的變分框架。蘇加寶教授及其課題組在研究中得到全新的一系列嵌入結果,成為數學、物理相關研究領域的基本工具,其中所建立的研究思想、方法和結果為進一步相關研究開闢了新的道路。其中的兩篇論文於2007年發表後,引起了數學家的極大興趣,已被他人引用了40多次,其中一篇被物理學中 (Journal of Physics A: Mathematical and Theoretical, 41(2008))研究在零溫度下Kohn-Sham系統的論文引用。
