英語學習策略是英語學習的關鍵因素之一。學習者因性別、英語學習喜歡度、語言水平、策略意識以及人格類型等不同，其英語學習策略選擇也會有所差異。
作者運用整群抽樣。目的抽樣與便利抽樣相結合的方法，採用問卷與半結構式訪談，調查了湖南、貴州、陝西3省6所師範院校的836名英語專業師範生；重點研究了學習者不同個人因素對英語學習策略使用的影響，並運用spss進行描述性統計、方差分析、事後檢驗、卡方檢驗、因子分析等數據分析，真實呈現了我國中西部地區英語專業師範生英語學習策略總體、分類和單項使用頻率的現狀。
