遠程教育的定義

遠程教育distance education，在這個定義中一共有五個要素。首先是“institution-based”,即“基於組織機構的”，這就使得遠程教育區別於自學（self-study），與此同時，在這個定義中還闡明了這種“組織機構”既可以是傳統的學校或者大學，也可以是非傳統的學校或者大學，有些能向學習者提供遠距離教學的組織機構也可以，例如：公司，企業等等。這樣，能夠開展遠程教育的組織機構的範圍就擴大了。
