AIIC採用會員制，分為預備會員和正式會員，分別需要至少100天和150天的工作經驗，同時需要至少兩名或三名正式會員的推薦。申請入會需要繳納一定費用，會員每年需要交年費。AIIC在世界各地有2900多名會員，其中，語言組合中包含漢語國語的有99名，包含粵語的有14。
AIIC屬專業口譯組織，但不是專業認證機構。AIIC要求會員堅持職業道德，遵守職業標準。
