為了滿足我國大學生完成基礎階段的英語學習後，進一步提高英語能力的需要，我社從劍橋大學出版社精選了四種教材，引進後匯成“大學目標英語”系列，旨在指導學生在更高階段的英語學習，訓練學生在碰到難度較大的英語文章時如何更有效地聽、讀、記筆記、思考和討論，以及如何完成學習或考試中要求的寫作任務。
《高年級英語讀寫：多元文化思辨》為該系列教材中的一種，具有如下特點：
