基本內容
中國穆斯林宗教教育制度。首倡者為明代陝西經師
胡登洲。他有感於“經文匱乏,學人寥落,既傳譯之不明,復闡揚之無自”的現狀,在家收徒講學,倡導學習經典。從其二傳弟子開始,教館從私家移入清真寺,在寺內招徒授經。課堂一般設在大殿北側廂房,因講授經籍為主而稱經堂。清真寺延聘阿訇擔任經師,稱開學阿訇。學生的食宿費用等多由教坊教民供給。學員多少則視阿訇的學識聲望,以及教坊的經濟能力而定。這種中世紀伊斯蘭教寺院教育與中國傳統私塾教育相結合的形式,因適合中國穆斯林社團發展的急切需要,逐漸發展成為具有中國特色的宗教教育制度。
