本書是《通往可持續發展之路——全球能源網際網路落實〈2030年可持續發展議程〉研究與實踐》的英文版。
本書系統闡述了全球能源網際網路對《2030年可持續發展議程》17項目標的全局性促進作用，並提出相應的行動路線圖，為全面落實議程目標提供了新思路和新方案。全書共分為六章：
*章分析當前人類可持續發展面臨的主要挑戰，回顧《2030年可持續發展議程》落實情況，結合議程實施面臨的挑戰，提出有關思考。
第二章分析能源對人類可持續發展的全局性作用，闡述全球能源網際網路的內涵及其對推動能源系統綠色低碳轉型和促進可持續發展的重要價值，展望全球能源網際網路建設條件和發展路線，並介紹中國能源網際網路建設的成功實踐。
