男，1967年生。博士生導師。1985-1990華中師範大學生物系學士，1997-2000中科院昆明植物研究所碩士，2002-2005中科院武漢植物園博士，2006-2007美國佛羅里達大學自然歷史博物館分子系統與進化實驗室訪問研究。發表論文28篇（SCI收錄11篇，其中第一作者5篇）。代表性論文在PNAS, Botanical Journal of the Linnean Society, International Journal of Plant Science, American Fern Journal等發表。已主持省基金面上項目一項，正主持國家基金面上項目一項。研究方向，若干被子植物重要類群的分子系統發育，花部器官形態發生。
