楊文力，畢業於西北大學，主要從事經典和量子場論及相關對稱代數和量子信息理論方面的研究和教學工作。1996年7月於西北大學獲理論物理博士學位。
2015年4月，楊文力入選2015年度“長江學者獎勵計畫”特聘教授名單。

主要從事經典和量子場論及相關對稱代數和量子信息理論方面的研究和教學工作。1996年7月於西北大學獲理論物理博士學位，1996年7月至2000年12月先後在中科院西安光機所、西北大學現代物理所作博士後，其中1999年12月於西北大學破格晉升為教授。2001年1月至2002年8月，德國波恩大學理論物理所洪堡學者；2002年11月至2004年5月日本京都大學湯川理論物理所(Yukawa Institute for Theoretical Physics)日本振興基金會（JSPS）特別研究員；2004年5月至2009年11月澳大利亞昆士蘭大學數學系研究學者（Research associate(Level A)、Research Fellow (Level B)）。2009年11月至今，西北大學現代物理所教授。先後主持過國家自然科學基金、日本振興基金、澳中國際合作基金及陝西省自然科學基金項目。曾於1997年獲原國家教委科學技術獎三等獎，1998年獲第二屆陝西青年科技獎，1999年獲陝西省科學技術獎二等獎，2005年獲陝西省科學技術獎二等獎，2009年12月入選陝西省首屆“百人計畫”。近年來在《Journal of High Energy Physics》、《Nuclear Physics B》、《Physics Letters B》、《Physics Review D》等學術刊物上發表論文100餘篇，有83篇被SCI收錄，其中包括物理類SCI一區文章23篇。
