在國內率先開展計算氣動彈性（CFD/CSD）工作，針對航空航天飛行器，發展了CFD/CSD緊耦合氣動彈性方法，研究成果已用於多個飛行器型號的顫振邊界和靜氣動彈性型架外形修正設計。承擔了國家科技支撐計畫項目和作為首席科學家承擔了973項目，建立了高速列車數值仿真和設計平台、研製了國際上規模最大（模型縮比1：8），實驗速度最高（500公里/小時）的高速列車動模型實驗平台。協助高速列車製造企業完成了新一代高速列車氣動定型設計，為我國高速列車CRH380系列研製提供了關鍵技術支撐。
