《少數民族學生英語學習態度和動機實證研究》從社會心理學和社會教育學的角度,採用定量和定性結合的實--證調查方法,探討了中國少數民族學生英語學習態度和動機與英語水平的關係。共有來自雲南省四個少數民族(彝族,壯族,苗族和哈尼族)的中學生參加了問卷調查和英語水平考試以及現場採訪。作者對問卷進行了因子分析得出八種態度和動機類型。皮爾遜相關係數表明,內部動機,對外國語言和文化的態度,父母和老師的期望以及對自己民族身份的態度等四個因子,與英語水平成正相關。多項回歸分析則顯示,影響少數民族學生英語成績的前三個最重要的指標是:學習焦慮,對外國語言和文化的態度以及內部動機。
