歷史
公司成立於1991年，創始者為電影製片人Bernd Eichinger, Arnon Milchan, 和 Andrew G. Vajna。最初公司只負責經營在美國以外的影片銷售業務。後來於1995年發展成合資製片公司，1997年成為全資公司。
2008年，該公司以2.265億美元的發行票房位列電影公司的第八位，這主要得益於發行了《暮光之城》。2009年以4.825億美元位列第七名。
2012年獅門影業宣布買下頂峰娛樂。
