愛爾蘭知名合唱團西城男孩（Westlife）日前在官網公布了最新單曲《Lighthouse（燈塔）》的封面，而這支單曲收錄在西城男孩2011年11月發行的精選集《Greatest Hits》中。此單曲由英國《X Factor》的評審Take That成員蓋瑞·巴洛(Gary Barlow)和葛萊美獎年度製作人John Shanks合力打造。而單曲的全新音樂錄像帶將移師南非進行拍攝，對此，蓋瑞·巴洛表示道：“這支單曲非常適合西城男孩下月發行的精選集，可以說沒有比這更適合的了。”

Lighthouse值得一提的是，《Lighthouse》將成為西城男孩1999年推出的熱播單曲《Swear It Again》之後的第31首上榜單曲。截止目前為止，西城男孩在英國已經創造了1100萬張專輯銷量以及600萬次的單曲下載量。此單曲英國單曲榜僅排名第32位，是西城男孩推出單曲最低的名次。這種低迷也象徵著他們要解散的實情。

早在2004年，西城男孩組合的成員之一布萊恩·麥克法登的單飛就一度使西城男孩的前景蒙上陰影，一度變成四人編制的“西城男孩”一直都面臨著解散的傳聞。最終，西城男孩還是堅持到了2012年，成為歐美流行樂壇史上最長壽的男子組合之一。
據了解，西城男孩這張精選集《Greatest Hits》於2011年11月21日正式發行，其中收錄了他們的14首經典單曲，首支單曲《Lighthouse》於2011年11月13日提前上市。而西城男孩的告別巡演將於2012年5月14日從紐卡斯爾的Metro Radio Arena拉開序幕，本次巡演一共有九場演出，最後一站定在了蘇格蘭格拉斯哥，曼徹斯特。從今天開始，西城男孩本次告別巡演的門票正式開始銷售。
