復理石( flysch)一種特殊的海相沉積岩套。一種由半深海、深海相沉積所構成的韻律層系。單層薄,而累積厚度大,由頻繁互層的、側向上穩定的海相礦岩和(或)較粗的其他沉積岩和頁岩層組成。它們構成了褶皺山脈內部巨厚的地層層序。在世界各造山帶中復理石普遍發育,很多還被逆斷層和逆掩斷層所沖斷或形成推覆...
阿爾卑斯山的復理石為典型的濁流沉積。後來將復理石這一術語用於深海平原的濁流沉積。復理石一詞源於阿爾卑斯山的復理石地區,指厚度有幾千米,幾乎是連續的沉積。它具有沙紋層理及底模構造,為遞變的灰色雜砂岩與粉砂質頁岩及頁岩呈韻律互層。1938年,瓊斯(Jones)命名為復理石沉積(flysch)。
