哈薩克女子射擊選手狄米崔科（Maria Dmitrienko）日前在科威特舉行的阿拉伯射擊錦標賽勇奪金牌，但主辦單位擺烏龍，在頒獎時播錯哈薩克國歌，內含侮辱字眼，引發哈薩克強烈抗議。原來主辦單位自行從網路搜尋各國國歌，卻下載了喜劇電影《Borat》中惡搞版的哈薩克國歌。這部2006年的賣座片曾因醜化哈薩克形象，引發不滿，事隔多年惡搞版國歌又冒出來，把哈薩克人氣炸了。主辦單位當天就向哈薩克代表隊致歉，宣稱全系「無心之過」，但無法平息怒火。哈薩克外交部昨要求科威特徹底調查究責。
