這首歌是上尉在科索沃戰場上完成的，也可以說是專輯中唯一一首滲透著他強烈反戰欲望的歌曲。他曾親口說，晚上自己的戰友都睡去了，他就拿起吉他，在夜色下譜寫這首no bravery。由於隨時都要戒備戰爭發生，他們還要穿著軍靴鑽進睡袋......這本身就是一個諷刺--打著維和口號的部隊卻給予了百姓無盡的痛苦和折磨...歌詞中的“他”或許就是在暗指那些借“人道主義”肆意侵略的霸權政治、統治者們。整首歌曲洋溢著哀傷和憤怒，在blunt獨特的假聲附和下，餘音裊裊，時刻震撼著人們的心靈...

詹姆斯·布朗特（James Blunt，1974年2月22日－），亦作詹姆仕·布朗特，英國流行歌手，2004年10月11日發行首張個人專輯《Back to Bedlam》（不安於室），憑藉單曲You're Beautiful（美麗的你）一舉成名，有雜誌評價他的聲音為“墮落的天使”。在“You're Beautiful”中，他那憂鬱的嗓音加上憂鬱的音樂成就了這首憂鬱歌曲的成功。2007年9月18日發行第2張專輯《All The Lost Souls》（失落的靈魂）。2010年11月發行第3張專輯《Some Kind Of Trouble》(美麗的憂慮)。迄今共發行了3張專輯1張演唱會現場專輯和6張單曲。
