由《馬達加斯加》、《功夫熊貓》製作團隊領銜，《極速蝸牛》是夢工廠今年繼《瘋狂原始人》後，為全球大銀幕打造的又一3D動畫喜劇巨製。影片講述了一隻有著賽車夢想的蝸牛Turbo，因為一次事故意外擁有了極速暴走的超能力，並在印第安納波利斯500英里賽車大賽中與其豪華裝備的蝸牛團隊齊心協力，向冠軍進發。
擁有無可比擬的3D畫質，《極速蝸牛》更在配音陣容上打出明星牌：好萊塢當紅小生瑞恩·雷諾茲（Ryan Reynolds）再次挑起男主角大梁，為蝸牛Turbo獻聲。美國西岸說唱巨星Snoop Dogg、好萊塢最具實力黑人男星之一塞繆爾·傑克遜（Samuel L. Jackson）也傾情開嗓，為蝸牛團隊成員配音。
除了配音之外，電影更收錄Snoop Dogg兩首火爆單曲《LET THE BASS GO》、《DROP IT LIKE IT’S HOT》；《LET THE BASS GO》更是他為電影所創作的饒舌新作。還有嘻哈天王Pitbull《KRAZY》、傑克遜五兄弟樂隊《GOIN’ BACK TO INDIANA》、倖存者樂隊《EYE OF THE TIGER》勁爆歌曲鼎力支持。
此次《極速蝸牛》電影原聲配樂由英國新生代作曲家亨利·傑克曼（Henry Jackman）（《X戰警：第一戰》、《穿靴子的貓》）操刀，為電影創造最摩登現代的音樂氛圍。傑克曼曾與漢斯·季默、約翰·鮑威爾等好萊塢配樂大師共同從事《蝙蝠俠：黑暗騎士》、《達文西密碼》、《功夫熊貓》、《加勒比海盜：亡靈寶藏》、《加勒比海盜：世界盡頭》、《全民超人漢考克》、《辛普森一家大電影》的配樂創作。

西岸說唱巨星 的出道專輯一發售就空降Billboard專輯排行榜冠軍。他是第1位第1張專輯就奪冠的歌手。當Dr. dre找到Snoop Doggy Dogg讓他在唱片《The Chronic》里展露頭腳，並使其迅速成為明星的時候，Snoop Doggy Dogg不過還是個混跡於猶太人聚集區的一個潑皮，所以說機會造就人才這話一點不錯，這兩個人的第一次合作就是幫匪說唱樂的坐標原點。流暢的G-Funk節奏加上幫派色彩強烈的歌詞給當時的主流音樂界帶來了不小的衝擊，於是人們都被嚇著了，他們跳起來大聲地叫著“我們找到新音樂了”，誰想到這種音樂最後卻帶來了無休止的仇殺。Snoop Doggy Dogg用他特有淫蕩的西海岸鼻音吹噓著自己放蕩的生活方式，為涉世不深的孩子描繪著新的美利堅之夢。

愛稱Snoop，來源關於他的出生，本名 Calvin Broadus 1972年10月20號在Long Beach, California出生,身高192cm，因為小時候的他長的像史努比，所以他母親就把他取了Snoop Dogg 這個名字。
