Out of Ashes(破土而出)2009，在死寂的黑暗世界裡，Dead By Sunrise劃破了搖滾天空的第一道曙光！而這道曙光傳來的是你所最熟悉的聲音！是的，2009搖滾樂界最殺話題--聯合公園主唱查斯特·貝寧頓（Chester Bennington）暫時放下聯合公園主唱的身份，所自組的樂團【黑暗曙光（Dead By Sunrise）】終於誕生！
事實上，無論是專輯名稱或是團名的誕生，都是來自於查斯特對於此次計畫不受限的坦率，Dead By Sunrise其實就如同其字面的意義一樣，反映了曾陷入低潮的查斯特，不知自己是否還能再看得見明日太陽的心情，而專輯名稱“Out Of Ashes”就好像在譬喻他親手燒毀了一棟房子之後，希望又能再造的企盼。
據主創查斯特透露，本專輯實際已於2006年製作完成，但因與Linkin park有協定所以推遲到09年發行。
本專輯已於2009年9月26日在日本先發行，並於同年10月3日全球同步發行。
