創作背景
《For Forever》是華晨宇專門為自己的火星演唱會所作。在7月2日的北京“火星演唱會”上，華晨宇決定創作一首自己演唱會專屬的，像《Why Nobody Fights》一樣有著簡單但令人不厭倦的旋律，並且更加明亮、歡樂的合唱歌曲。這首歌邀請美國歌手瑞彥迷嘉爾MIKHAÉL作詞，“But if forever lasts till now， alright.”瑞彥迷嘉爾根據歌曲旋律即興寫作，一氣呵成寫出了《For Forever》的全英文歌詞。
8月15日，歌曲封面首度曝光，設計來自設計師Les Suen孫浚良。黑白世界配合“致永久”的主題，茂密纖細的植物枝葉和碩圓的主幹用黑白色調定格。
這是華晨宇首次用全英文錄音，所幸瑞彥迷嘉爾中文十分流利，在瑞彥迷嘉爾的指導下進錄音棚錄製，很少說英文的華晨宇也得到老師的稱讚，表示華晨宇發音學習速度很快。
