Libera是由一群男童高音(Boy Soprano)的孩子們所參與的少年合唱團，關於該合唱團的組成與概念是極具獨創性的。儘管該團於1999年以Libera為名正式啟程，但其歷史應該更為久遠，知名的聖菲利浦少年合唱團(St.Phillip's Boys Choir)可說是他們的前身。而該團的靈魂人物、同樣也擔任作曲家的Robert Prizeman，也曾經在聖菲利浦少年合唱團擔任演唱過。自英國皇家音樂學院(Royal Academy of Misic)畢業後的他，承繼了合唱團的形式，進而開始著手運作Libera。Michael Horncastle
