Charlotte Martin

Charlotte Martin全稱為Charlotte Ann Martin，1976年3月29日出生於伊利諾州，美國創作歌手。

她是一個主要用鋼琴去創作的美國女創作歌手，也是非常主流的美國式另類女唱作人。雖然簽約在主流廠牌下，但她自始至終在追求在堅持自己喜歡的音樂。

她曾寫過幾個錄音室專輯，2004年的《On Your Shore》和2006年的《Stromata》曾經獲得主流的商業發行。在2009年，她發行了一個名為《Piano Trees》的鋼琴專輯。隨後在2011年，2月1日，她發行了新專輯《Dancing on Needles》。

早年經歷

Charlotte Martin在Charleston, Illinois長大。她的父親，Joseph Martin，是一個在Eastern Illinois University教書的音樂教授。她的母親，Becky Martin，是一個幫助殘疾人的項目的管理者。

Charlotte在1994年6月26日得到Miss Illinois Teen USA的頭銜，然後她在同年8月16日代表Illinois去參加了Miss Teen USA在密西西比的遊行。她於1998年在Eastern Illinois University畢業並拿到一個美聲的本科畢業證書。1999年，Charlotte搬到了洛杉磯。

個人生活

2005年9月30日，她嫁給了一個音樂製作人Ken Andrews。2008年5月4日，他們的第一個孩子Ronen Joseph Andrews出生了。他們的第二個孩子Stella Jean Andrews也在2011年3月9日出生。

Ronen出生後，Charlotte得到了名為intercostal neuralgia（肋間神經痛）的病，以至於讓她延遲了《Dancing on Needles》的發行。

在2007年新專輯《Reproductions》中，我們可以看到不同風格的Charlotte Martin。其中的開場曲《Angel》，便以獨特的曲風和唱腔把我們拉進她的異世界裡。旋律時而深情，時而幽怨，時而另類。優美的鋼琴和穿插的一些電子元素也使得專輯聽起來非常豐富、飽滿。
