鄧力，1965年生，博士研究生，世界知名有機合成化學家，有機催化領域的創始者和引領者之一，現為西湖大學徐益明講席教授，理學院執行院長。

1987年畢業於清華大學化學系，獲學士學位；
1990年獲美國威斯康辛大學有機化學碩士學位；
1995年獲哈佛大學有機化學博士，隨後在哈佛大學從事博士後工作。
1995至2018年，歷任美國布蘭代斯大學化學系助理教授、副教授（終身教職）、正教授，2005年被聘為首任Orrie Friedman講席教授；2011-2014年擔任布蘭代斯大學化學系主任。
現為西湖大學徐益明講席教授，理學院執行院長。
