郭德銀，1965年4月於河南省夏邑縣， 國家傑出青年基金獲得者，國家“973”重大科學研究計畫項目首席科學家，國家基金委創新研究群體骨幹成員。現任中山大學醫學院院長，教授、博導，國家傑出青年基金獲得者，國家“973”計畫首席科學家，中國微生物學會病毒學專業委員會主委，國家創新人才推進計畫重點領域創新團隊負責人。學科專業：微生物學/病毒學、病原生物學、分子生物學。曾任武漢大學基礎醫學院院長，武漢大學生命科學學院副院長，武漢大學生命科學學院教授，病毒學國家重點實驗室副主任，武漢大學現代病毒學研究中心負責人。2001年6月提升為赫爾辛基大學生物系副教授。從2002年9月起受聘武漢大學生命科學學院病毒學科特聘教授 任基礎醫學院院長。2016-2020 任中山大學基礎醫學院（深圳）院長研究RNA病毒（冠狀病毒和C肝病毒）的基因組複製和與宿主細胞相互作用的分子機理。
