1、炎症及免疫反應：主攻朊蛋白對各種細胞炎症及免疫反應的調節作用，以及最終對相關疾病發生髮展的影響，比如腫瘤、自身免疫性疾病。
2、腫瘤的免疫治療：通過改造特定基因的表達來改善免疫細胞的抗腫瘤作用。
3、神經發育相關疾病：研究某些神經發育相關臨床綜合徵的發病機制。
