西南師範大學(現西南大學)本科(1999)、碩士(2002);加拿大維多利亞大學(University of Victoria)化學系博士(2010);西安大略大學(Western University)博士後(2011)。曾任教於大連理工大學(2002-2005)。2011-2013年在中物院成都綠色能源與綠色製造技術研發中心工作,任環境科學與技術課題組組長。2013年作為引進人才進入西南交通大學地球科學與環境工程學院工作,現任地球科學與環境工程學院院長助理。加拿大及中國化學會會員,同時擔任英國皇家化學會多個著名雜誌如J. Mater. Chem., Chem. Comm.等高影響因子雜誌審稿人

研究方向
1.環境分析化學
現代環境監測對象涵蓋環境中各種無機、有機化學污染物甚至微生物等,如重金屬離子,多環芳烴,各種農藥以及大腸桿菌。本方向主要依託各種現代分子光譜技術(如表面增強拉曼技術(surface enhanced Raman scattering, SERS),紅外及表面增強紅外技術)和色譜技術(GC, HPLC),試圖建立可用於現場(on site)的快速準確分析方法。
2.大氣污染化學
本方向關注大氣污染(灰霾)的來源及快速溯源方法研究。本團隊主要使用顆粒物質譜儀及光譜、色譜等技術手段對灰霾組分進行分析,研究當前成都大氣污染的現狀,以及實現快速溯源的方法。本方向得到了四川省環境保護重大科技專項的支持。
3.污染控制技術
本方向關注環境污染,包括水、大氣和土壤污染的治理方法與技術的研究,開發新型材料以實現對環境污染的現場治理與修復(實現污染物的固化和催化降解)。本方向還關注自清潔(超疏水, superhydrophobic)材料的研究與開發。荷葉和芋頭葉是這類材料在自然界中的極佳例子。
4.生物醫療分析化學
現代生物醫療分析科學尤為注重對設備和人員要求極低的攜帶型小型生化分析器件(point-of-care diagnostics, POC diagnostics)。貴金屬納米材料由於能夠激發表面電漿激元(surface plasmons),在可見光區有很強的散射和吸收性能,是實現可視化POC diagnostics的極佳候選材料。

Hiring
We always welcome devoted undergraduate and graduate students, no matter you want to do undergraduate thesis, Master degree, or PhD degree. The applicants shall have concrete background in chemistry, environmental science and engineering,or computer science.
Currently, the university offers a monthly stipend of 3,000 CNY for PhD student, 500 for Master student. We also pay certain amount of stipend depends on your publication performance. Potential applicants should contact Prof. Fan directly by email or drop-by at room 209.
We also welcome postdoctoral researcher. The university offers very competitive salary and, depending on the performance, it is possible to get permanent position after finishing the postdoctoral research period.
