序言
在編寫過程中,我們力求突出以下一些特色:
1.立足國情,博採眾長,充分吸收中國人長期積累的學習英語的有效方法,認真借鑑國外的教學理論和經驗;全面落實《大學英語課程教學要求》提出的教學原則、教學內容和所倡導的教學方法。
2.堅持人本主義教育觀,重視開發學習者的“自我潛能”,注重“情感”和“態度”在學習活動中的作用,鼓勵學生開展課堂內外的自主學習活動,幫助學生成為“自我實現者”。
3.英語綜合運用能力的培養應該建立在語言技能、語言知識、情感態度、學習策略和跨文化交際意識等諸方面的整體發展基礎上;交際能力的習得應該與學習者的人格發展有機地結合起來。為此,我們從選材到教學環節的設計都堅持“聚焦於學習者”(zooming in on the learner)和“聚焦於文本”(zooming in on the text)的理念,力圖使學生做到“學有所思”、“思有所得”、“得有所用”,通過全身心的體驗輕鬆而快樂地學習和掌握英語。
4.在課堂教學活動和課後學習活動的設計和安排等方面,力求為教師和學生提供較為開闊的自主空間,讓教師和學生都能根據各自的情況和已有的教學條件選擇適合自己需要的教學模式和學習風格。
《綜合教程》(學生用書)各冊均配有“學習光碟”(Learner’s CD)、“教師手冊”(Teacher’s Manual)和“電子教案”(Electronic Teaching Porffolio)。
鑒於教育部頒發的《普通高中英語課程標準(實驗)》(2003)仍處於實驗和推廣階段,我們在確定第一冊的起點時,既參照了該新課程標準,也參照了原《全日制普通高級中學英語教學大綱(實驗修改版)》(2000)。
