符松課題組基於流動穩定性理論和雷諾平均方法,提出了一種合理反映高超聲速流動轉捩物理的k-w-g三方程轉捩/湍流模式,具有預測飛行器高超聲速邊界層流動轉捩的能力。該轉捩模式的套用範圍還推廣至複雜的葉輪機械流動中,精細模擬了葉輪機葉片表面流動的發展過程。該模式理論在我國航天航空研究等領域正在發揮重要作用,該模式也被柏林工業大學(TUB)、德國宇航院(DLR)以及瑞典防務研究院(FOI)所採用。這項研究已經產生國際影響,符松應邀在航空航天領域頂級學術期刊《Progress in Aerospace Sciences》就高速流動轉捩模式研究撰寫綜述論文。
