項目簡介

在生命起源和演化中,寒武紀大爆發代表了地球上三個重大生命歷史事件之一。澄江動物群處於寒武紀大爆發時期,揭示了在很短地質時間內,地球上所有主要動物類群都已經出現,同時海洋生態系統中出現了複雜的食物鏈,永久性地改變了地球海洋中的生物結構和組成。因此,澄江動物群及其相關環境研究具有重大國際科學意義。.澄江動物群是寒武紀大爆發的產物,代表了現生動物的祖先類型,其構造特徵也多為原始特徵,為追溯早期動物類群的起源和研究其譜系關係提供了得天獨厚的條件。通過澄江動物群生物學研究,揭示各個動物門類的原始特徵,探討其演化趨勢和動物門類起源。澄江動物群展示了一個最為完整、最為古老的生態特徵,研究其原始生態群落面貌,探討生態系統的演化規律。通過埋藏學和地球化學的研究,揭示化石的特異保存環境,評價該動物群群落保存的完整程度和化石保存的偏愛程度,研究群落所伴隨的環境模式、寒武紀大爆發的形成背景、觸發機制。
