潘玉峰，男，漢族，1982年9月出生，湖北人。2004年7月畢業於南開大學生物物理學專業獲得學士學位，2009年7月畢業於中國科學院生物物理研究所神經生物學專業獲得博士學位，2009年9月起在美國霍華德·休斯醫學研究所（Janelia Research Campus, Howard Hughes Medical Institute）做博士後研究工作。
2014年回國工作並受聘為東南大學生命科學研究院研究員，2015年9月被正式聘為博士生導師，2015年入選中組部第十一批“千人計畫”青年人才，2016年6月獲江蘇省傑出青年科學基金，2016年8月獲國家優秀青年科學基金項目資助。
