楊士林，男，是北京工業大學套用數理學院教授，理學博士，博士生導師。
分別於1999年4月-2000年4月、 2005年2月-2006年2月在德國Bielefeld大學數學系、 斯圖加特大學數學系學習和訪問.
美國《數學評論》、 德國《數學評論》評論員；國際雜誌《ISRN Algebra》、《Algebra》編委.
在《Journal of Algebra》、《Communications in Algebra》、《Algebra and Representation Theory》、《Letter in Mathematical Physics》、 《Journal of Mathematical Physics》、《Algebra Colloquium》、《Journal of Algebra and its Application》、《中國科學》(中英文版)、 《數學學報》（英文版）、《數學年刊》等國內外學術刊物上發表學術論文50餘篇.
承擔並完成數項“國家自然科學基金”，“北京市自然科學基金”，“留學回國人員啟動基金”、“北京市教委基金”、“留學回國人員科技活動擇優資助優秀項目”等項目.
目前主持教育部博士點基金、北京市自然科學基金等；承擔國家自然科學基金一項 1998年獲北京市高校優秀青年骨幹教師稱號， 2004年獲北京工業大學十佳青年稱號.
主要研究領域： 代數及其套用、 代數表示論、 量子群結構與表示、 Ringel-Hall代數、（弱） Hopf 代數等.
