曹勇，男，澳大利亞國立大學經濟學博士，南京大學經濟學院教授，博士生導師。長期致力於發展經濟學與金融學等領域的研究。在國際SSCI雜誌Applied Economics，Economic Systems，Asia Economic Journal與Bank and Banking Systems, 《經濟研究》等雜誌發表論文40多篇。曾先後在中國社會科學院經濟研究所，澳大利亞國立大學，新加坡南洋理工大學任教和從事研究工作。長期為國內外政府機構， 金融機構和企業提供諮詢。
