主要從事表面化學和多相催化研究,涉及納米金屬催化、固體酸鹼催化、低碳烷烴的定向活化及選擇氧化、生物質催化轉化及其高附加值利用等領域。科研工作的核心一直圍繞著納米催化材料的分子設計以及原子或分子水平上催化反應的研究,特別是在用於高附加值精細化學品合成的高性能納米金催化劑以及新型介孔催化材料的精密設計與構築、原位研究催化劑活性位和反應機理等方面有較為深入的研究。
