加拿大5名剛參加完婚禮的年輕人驅車返回，在接近美國邊境的路段，他們被一輛邊境警察的車攔下了，他們命令車輛停下，例行公事檢查了ID。這些邊境警察看起來很可疑，提問也變得愈加嚴厲。其中一名年輕人的出身好像吸引了警察們的注意，甚至惹惱了他們。年輕人們都儘量克制著，畢竟五人什麼都沒做錯，除了車燈壞了，除了“被”發現藏有大麻。
但緊接著，衝突升級了。其中一名女孩想上車拿藥，卻被警察阻止了，他們開始凶相畢露。年輕人們都被銬上手銬了。女孩開始反抗，很快就被當場侮辱性搜身。接著警察又懷疑隨行的小狗身上攜帶毒品，就用刀給它開膛破肚。局勢開始失去控制，警察開槍了，並將這群年輕人統統拘捕，帶到林子深處的一個特殊的牢房裡。那裡安放著很多鐵籠子。而噩夢才剛剛開始。
