內容簡介

《新世紀理工科英語教程:工商管理(學生用書)》內容為:《大學英語教學大綱》(修訂本)規定大學英語教學分為基礎階段(一至二年級)和套用提高階段(三至四年級)。套用提高階段的教學包括專業英語(subject-Based English,簡稱SBE)和高級英語(Advanced English,簡稱AE)兩部分。大綱明確指出:“大學英語教學的目的是培養學生具有較強的閱讀能力和一定的聽、說、寫、譯能力,使他們能用英語交流信息……以適應社會發展和經濟建設的需要。”新世紀對人才在外語方面提出了更高的要求。抓好大學英語套用提高階段的教學已勢在必行。編寫本教材的目的是幫助理工科學生在套用提高階段進一步發展、鞏固和提高基礎階段已掌握的讀、聽、寫、說、譯五種技能,並使部分有一定口語基礎的學生在聽說能力方面也能有較大的提高,以適應21世紀對高級人才的需求。
本教材主要適用於已完成基礎階段學習的高等學校理工科本科生,為套用提高階段的必修課和選修課教材,也可用做研究生教學或工程技術人員的外語培訓教材。
全套教材由專業教師和英語教師合作編寫而成。它以英國語言學家H.G.Widdowson的交際法理論為依據,著重解決語言運用能力的培養問題,使學生將基礎階段已掌握的英語語言知識和技能在自己的專業領域中進一步實踐和套用,從而達到能以英語為工具獲取和交流信息的教學目的。
