1995年5月赴日本崎玉工業大學電子工學系學習。
1996年8月獲得理論物理專業理學碩士學位，並被免試推薦為中國科學院上海矽酸鹽研究所博士研究生。
1998年7月獲得無機非金屬材料專業工學博士學位(Dr.Eng.)，同時獲中國科學院院長獎優秀獎．
1998 年8 月至2001年1 月在日本電子株式會社（JEOL，東京）技術總括部任博士後工程師，負責X 射線分析裝置的研製和開發。
2001 年2月至2004年3月，獲丹麥國家科學技術委員會的“半導體量子點”項目的資助，在丹麥技術大學通訊、光學和材料研究中心和哥本哈根大學尼耳斯－波爾研究所,從事半導體量子點的分子束外延生長和光學表征，以及半導體量子點雷射器的研製工作。
2004年3 月, 從丹麥技術大學獲得光電子學專業哲學博士學位(PhD)．2004 年4 月至9 月，獲美國能源部的“半導體材料的X射線分析”的項目資助，在美國佛蒙特大學物理系和布魯海文國家實驗室國家同步輻射光源，研究半導體量子點生長過程中的原位X 射線分析。
2004 年9月至2010年11月任南開大學物理科學學院和泰達套用物理學院教授，組建了納米光子學實驗室（已於2006年5月9日在天津新聞中被介紹過）。
2006年11月 - 2007年1月 日本早稻田大學理工學部，客員研究員
2010年12月 - 2012年3月 南昌航空大學測試與光電工程學院院長，教授。
2012年4月 - 現在 天津工業大學，教授
科研成就
至今已經在Applied Phyiscs Letters, Journalof Crystal Growth, Journal of Physics: Condensed Matters, Nanotechnology等雜誌和國內外學術會議上發表論文40 余篇，申請了日本專利2 項。現主持國家自然科學基金2項，教育部留學回國人員啟動基金1項，以及紅外物理國家重點實驗室開放基金1項，日本丸文國際交流基金1項。
研究方向
納米光子學，納米材料與器件。
