多年來一直從事慢性病分子流行病學研究，包括肝癌發病影響因素的分子流行病學研究，非酒精性脂肪肝分子流行病學研究，HBV致肝細胞脂肪化的機制研究等，逐步形成了較為穩定的消化系統疾病分子流行病學研究方向。
學術成果
近5年正和曾主持13項課題研究（國家自然科學基金2項、省自然科學基金2項，福建省衛生系統中青年骨幹人才培養重點項目1項,省教育廳2項，福建省高校傑出青年科研人才計畫1項，福建省高等學校新世紀優秀人才支持計畫1項,福建醫科大學校級課題2項，橫向課題2項等）。在國內外雜誌上發表20餘篇研究論文，其中以第一作者發表SCI論文10篇。
