《如何閱讀一本書》是由美國哲學家莫蒂默·傑爾姆·阿德勒於1940年所著，並於1972年和查爾斯·范多倫重新修訂。該書主要論述指導如何通過閱讀增進理解力。它將閱讀分做四個層次基礎閱讀、檢視閱讀、分析閱讀、主題閱讀。在書後推薦了一系列的經典名著。
該書強調閱讀是一種主動的活動。閱讀一般分做三種目的：娛樂消遣、獲取資訊、增進理解力。只有最後一種目的的閱讀能幫助閱讀者增長心智，不斷成長。
