Taewarat and Chompoo both grew up together, thinking that they had the same father. Since Chompoo's father loved Taewarat as his own son, he raised Taewarat as his son, making Taewarat believe that his real father and mother were his aunt and uncle. Taewarat's real father was a greedy man, he believed that if Chompoo and her father died, Taewarat will be the rightful owner of all of the belongings. He hired a man to kill Chompoo and her father, but when the truth unfolds, only Chompoo's father died. Everybody believed for years that both Chompoo and her father died, but really, Chompoo was raised by a man who saw the whole incident. After her father's death, Chompoo had to change her name to Salika to avoid being killed. But in order for people to know that she was the real daughter, Chompoo's father tattooed her with the family's symbol, right before he died. When Salika meets Taewarat after many long years, she learns that Taewarat has grown up to be an ignorant and selfish person. Before Taewarat leaves his vacation home, in which Salika neighbored, Taewarat leaves Salika with a kiss, and promised her that he will turn her into his wife. Soon, Salika's second father dies. She is invited to live with Taewarat's family. Knowing this, Salika doesn't hesitate to move in because she could finally claim her belongings and let everybody know who she really is. It wasn't as easy as Salika had thought. Living there, she encountered more and more problems. After Taewarat's return from America, he announces to everyone that he will marry Salika. Everybody took it by surprise, almost nobody was happy, except for Taewarat's 'aunt.' Salika soon leaves to her home where she lived almost all her life to finish some unfinished business. Taewarat follows her, saying that he wants to help. Each house the couple goes to, they are complimented on what a cute couple they made. The ride home was rainy. The car was stuck, so the two had to find a shelter. And in that shelter, the two spent their first night together. Later into the story, Taewarat's 'uncle' learns Salika's true identity. He hires the same guy who attempted to kill Salika earlier in her life, to kill her once again. When Taewarat learns that Salika is missing, he rushes to the car to find her. Salika tells Taewarat that she is Chompoo, his 'sister' whom he thought died. Taewarat's 'uncle' on the other hand told Taewarat that Salika is lying to him. Taewarat tells his uncle that he doesn't care whether Salika is Chompoo or not, he's going to protect her because he loved her. The battle finally ends, and Taewarat learns that the man who he thought was his uncle, really was his father. Taewarat quickly rushes to his father, knowing that he was about to die. Taewarat quickly leaves the scene after his father's death because he was too ashamed to face Salika/Chompoo. Salika/Chompoo learns that Taewarat is about to cross the border of Cambodia and Thailand, so she hurries to find him. Taewarat refuses to return because he was still ashamed. Salika/Chompoo pleaded for him to return to her, telling him that she didn't care because she loved him. Taewarat continued his journey, but in the end, he returned to Salika/Chompoo's arm.
