商務英語是一門交叉學科，在商務英語學習中，商用語言和商務知識套用同等重要，廣泛的地道的商務英語語言的輸入是商務英語水平提升的前提和基礎，原汁原味的商務英語語料和真實的商務案例是商務英語學習的必要載體。本教材的設計兼顧了開闊國際視野、商務語言學習和商務案例學習這三方面，從近年外刊商業新聞報導中精選了24篇有代表性的文章，內容涉及企業發展戰略、公司管理、商務創新、產品策略、行銷策略、人力管理等。全書分12單元，每個單元含Text A和Text B兩篇課文，Text A為主課文Text B是同一主題的拓展性課文。每篇課文提供生詞及常用詞組表、專業術語及專有名詞注釋、背景知識介紹及課文的參考譯文，方便讀者查閱參考，有利於商務英語語言學習和國際商務知識積累。同時每篇課文後提供閱讀檢測任務幫助學習者自我評價閱讀效果，及時鞏固課文中的語言重難點。每篇課文最後均設有一項綜合任務，讀者可以單元話題為中心，適時鞏固課文中辭彙、語言表達，藉助課文中的案例啟示，進行對全球性問題的關注、思考與交流。
