任之，1982年生於湖北，2004和2009年分別獲浙江大學理學學士和凝聚態物理博士學位。博士論文入選全國百篇優秀博士提名論文並作為團隊成員獲得教育部高校自然科學一等獎。2017年初加入浙江西湖高等研究院(西湖大學前身)，研究興趣主要集中在固體新材料的合成和物性表征。

2004獲浙江大學理學學士；
2009獲得凝聚態物理博士學位；
2009年至2017年先後在日本大阪大學和瑞士日內瓦大學進行博士後研究；
2017年初加入浙江西湖高等研究院(西湖大學前身)。
主要學術成果
- 發現數種新的高熵合金超導體和拓撲超導體候選材料;
- 首次在鐵砷化合物中發現同價元素替代引入超導並觀察到超導與鐵磁共存;
- 通過系統改變鉍系拓撲絕緣體的化學組分極大降低體載流子濃度並成功觀測到拓撲表面態的量子振盪；
- 發現新的壓力誘導鈰基重費米子超導體，並首次觀察到超導和磁有序溫度隨壓力增加同時升高的現象。
