項目摘要
自然保護區的有效性是減緩生物多樣性喪失的關鍵。作為全球多樣性最豐富及人為活動最強烈的國家之一，中國自然保護區的有效性對於全球實現CBD-2010目標具有重要的影響。中國共建立了2500多個自然保護區，覆蓋了中國陸地面積的15.1%。我國保護區的有效性評價主要集中在保護區的管理有效性，還缺乏有關其生態有效性的系統研究，一些有關生物多樣性保護的重要生態學問題還有待解答：如巨觀層面保護區覆蓋與人類活動強度的關係如何？現有保護區是否包含了所有物種和生態系統？保護區的設立是否有效減緩了人類活動的強度？在預研究中，申請人構建近1100箇中國國家級和省級自然保護區、11,000多種木本植物和1300餘種陸生脊椎動物的空間分布資料庫，在此基礎上，本項目擬採用遙感以及地理信息系統手段，研究中國國家級和省級自然保護區的上述生態學問題。項目的實施將為系統評價中國自然保護區的有效性提供科學依據和技術方法。
