創作背景
愛莉安娜·格蘭德於2013年9月發行首張錄音室專輯之後，便在2013年10月宣布自己在和製作人開始第二張專輯的譜寫工作，其後，又公布了自己與澳大利亞說唱歌手伊基·阿塞莉婭的合作。該單曲於2014年1月開始創作，歌詞、曲譜由美國底特律說唱歌手Big Sean，以及Ilya，馬克斯·馬丁和Savan Kotecha一起完成。在創作歌曲旋律之前，薩萬·科特查閱讀了許多的電影和雜誌，並且還花了許多的時間將旋律構建創作下來，歌曲中的一句歌詞“One less problem without ya”來源於一篇名為《Cosmopolitan》的文學作品。2014年4月18日，愛莉安娜·格蘭德通過Twitter發布了單曲的封面。
