2009年，樂隊得到一個與Kara DioGuardi合作的機會，當時DioGuardi正準備擔任American Idol（美國偶像）的評審之一。主唱Gabe Saporta解釋說，
“We got offered to work with Kara right as she was becoming anAmerican Idoljudge. We didn't know who she was. She didn't know who we were. We got hooked up with her. I'm like, 'Who is this person?' She's like, 'Who's this annoying band?' But we got in the room, and it was like magic, and we wrote the song in 15 minutes. It's, like, the best song on our album.”
在為這首歌牽線後的十五分鐘裡，整隻曲子便完成了。在2009年4月27日，Gossip Girl（《緋聞女孩》）中的女星Leighton Meester將參與到歌曲的訊息被公布。主唱Gabe Saporta早就希望Meester能參與到這首歌，因為“這首歌就像是她的角色在Gossip Girl里的特點，就像一個有點壞壞的完美女孩。”
