Dropzone provides drag-and-drop access to opening, transferring, and installing files. Its Dock icon provides a popup grid of options that can be customized to copy or move files to a specified folder, upload files to an FTP server or a Flickr account, install applications (opening a DMG file, copying the contents to the Applications folder, and trashing the DMG file), zipping and emailing dropped files, saving dropped text to a file, and more. It includes a Ruby-based API that makes it possible to create extensions to perform other actions.
