EIA/TIA-568標準規定了兩種連線標準（並沒有實質上的差別），即EIA/TIA-568A和EIA/TIA-568B。
T568A規定的連線方法是：
1——白–綠 （就是白色的外層上有些綠色，表示和綠色的是一對線）
2——綠色
3——白–橙（就是白色的外層上有些橙色，表示和橙色的是一對線）
4——藍色
5——白–藍（就是白色的外層上有些藍色，表示和藍色的是一對線）
6——橙色
7——白–棕（就是白色的外層上有些棕色，表示和棕色的是一對線）
8——棕色
T568B規定的連線方法是：
1——白–橙
2——橙色
3——白–綠
4——藍色
5——白–藍
6——綠色
7——白–棕（就是白色的外層上有些棕色，表示和棕色的是一對線）
8——棕色
在通常的工程實踐中，T568B使用得較多。不管使用哪一種標準，一根5類線的兩端必須都使用同一種標準。”

Connecting cables between CISCO devices
Both ends of the cable made of the same standard cable, namely one end of the cable is connected by T568A method, the other end is connected by T568A method; or one end of the cable is connected with T568B, the other end is also using T568B method.
The EIA/TIA-568 standard specifies two connection standards (and no substantive differences), namely, EIA/TIA-568A and EIA/TIA-568B.
The connection method specified by T568A is:
1 - white - green (that is, the white outer layer of some green, green and green is a pair of lines)
2 - Green
3 - white - Orange (that is, there are some orange on the white outer layer, which means orange and a pair of lines)
4 - Blue
5 - white - Blue (that is, white on the outer layer of some blue, that is, and blue is a pair of lines)
6 - Orange
7 - white - Brown (that is, white on the outer layer of brown, that is, and Brown is a pair of lines)
8 - Brown
The connection method specified by T568B is:
1 - white - Orange
2 - Orange
3 - white - Green
4 - Blue
5 - white - Blue
6 - Green
7 - white - Brown (that is, white on the outer layer of brown, that is, and Brown is a pair of lines)
8 - Brown
In the usual engineering practice, T568B is used more. No matter which standard is used, both ends of a line of the 5 type must use the same standard."
