創作背景

“Waiting For Tonight”是Maria Christensen, Michael Garvin, 和Phil Temple寫的一首歌曲。它最初是美國女孩組合的一張錄音室專輯《Alive》（1997年）裡面的歌。三年後該組合解散，於是美國藝人Jennifer Lopez錄製這首歌曲為她的首張錄音室專輯《On The 6》（1999年）。Ric Wake和Richie Jones提供創作“Waiting For Tonight”的流行舞曲Dance-Pop版本。同時這首歌的西班牙語版本的歌曲名為"Una Noche Más"，為Manny Benito改編，並收入專輯中。“Waiting For Tonight”發布於1999年11月1日，作為《On The 6》第三單。

這首歌和MV圍繞的主題是1999年的最後一個晚上，等待著跨過今晚，全人類就正式邁入2字開頭的新千年了，所以他們要不顧一切地狂歡。
在這個MV中，JLo並沒有像現在那樣“時尚”和“華麗”，因為她根本不需要，到底是處在人生中的黃金時期（30齣頭），她的武器就是她的年輕、她自然而然的活力與性感。
MV中最關鍵的就是JLo那充滿力量的舞蹈，她用力地伸展著她的身體，誇張地撅起她那讓世界陷入瘋狂的臀部，這一切都在綠色的鐳射燈光射線，以及後來數字跳到2000時的綠色光輝中，達到了orgasm的境界。最後在自然“仙境”的泉水中沐浴也是一大看點。這就是真正屬於JLo自己的性感，不需要藉助任何人。在拉丁熱和千禧年的雙重作用力影響下，她的狂野式性感被極度的放大了。
