Rita calypso本名 Ana Laan，出生在西班牙馬德里，在瑞典居住很長的一段時間，再回到馬德里念大學。她的母親是美國人，所以她可以操英語、西班牙及瑞典三國語言。 Rita Calypso 在西班牙唱片公司 Siesta 發行過兩張英語專輯。2004 年轉換唱片公司為 Nardis，並用本名 Ana Laan 發行西班牙語專輯 Oregano
