適合人群

每集片時不長，大概22分鐘左右，很適合學英語。對於廣大的中學生，這是一部不可多得的學習交流影片。主角都是青少年，他們談論的話題都是很生活化，很流行，很活潑，而且，最重要的是：從隨意向學術的轉型期！所以這片子裡面各個層次的英語都有覆蓋；簡單的日常用語包括生活的方方面面，從物品名詞到吵架，諷刺，嘲笑，求情……各種情景的英語；然後又有一定程度的學術英語。

因為是青少年片，所以語言都非常乾淨，在這部劇中算得上最重的話是 what on earth are you doing here? （而通常這句話會說成：what the hell are you doing here?) 所以這部劇的用語是很乾淨的！

In July 2011 the production of a 26-episode spin-offis announced.The new series is titled Mako: Island of Secretsand follows the adventures of 15-year-olds Zac and mermaids Sirena, Nixie and Lyla.
