Swallow The Sun簡介
2000年春原芬蘭搖滾樂隊PLUTONIUM ORANGE的吉他手John Raivio創建了Swallow the Sun，不久曾經同在一支樂隊的Pasanen加入STS擔任鼓手，他們排練了幾首歌，其中一首Through Her Silvery Body就來自首張demo《Out of This Gloomy Light》。
2001年老友Jamsen加入擔任節奏吉他，Kotamaki擔任主唱，後來由相繼找到了其它樂手形成完整的陣容，2002年樂隊以該陣容完善了首張demo並於2003年1月錄製混音。幾個月後樂隊有幸得到了Doom專業戶Firebox的契約，於03年7月末進入錄音棚錄製了他們的首張正式專輯《The Morning Never Came》，不愧為芬蘭樂隊，營造的氛圍是有殺傷力的。
2005年2月，他們發表了第二張正式專輯《Ghosts of Loss》，單曲Forgive Her在唱片發表第一周內就榮登芬蘭Top 20的單曲榜第四位，並在榜單上停留了六周。他們的專輯同樣登上了排行榜第八位.在2006年期間，他們簽約了Spinefarm Records並舉行了一次小規模的歐洲巡演。
2007年1月，他們發行了第三張專輯《Hope》，成為了我在07年最愛的專輯之一。事實上,swallow the sun從一開始就從未曾讓我們失望過,他們的音樂從來就是華美與悲悵並存,大氣中滿含憂傷,莊嚴中亦極失落,感性哀婉的吉他旋律極盡華麗的美感,也最讓人黯然神傷...
