創作背景和寓意
樂隊的主唱查斯特·貝寧頓在接受MTV新聞採訪中對這首歌的寓意解釋道，“這首歌可以理解為一個士兵從戰爭中歸來，並試著回到社會，或者一個人從監獄中走出來，或者其他的類似場景。”
樂隊成員麥克·信田對MTV媒體介紹說，這部MV的確是遊戲Medal of Honor（MOH）的一個縮影，是一部畫面很有現代感的影片，樂隊的表演也蘊含在其中。它講述的故事是關於士兵和家庭的，體現了遊戲的基本劇情。
